Abstract of the Disclosure A high concentrate heavy duty liquid laundry detergent composition having a low viscosity and good stability comprising: (a) a mixture of surfactants, said mixture comprising: (i) between 1 and 35 active weight percent of one or more amphoteric surfactants; (ii) between 1 and 50 active weight percent of one or more anionic surfactants; and (iii) between 1 and 75 active weight percent of one or more nonionic surfactants; the sum of (i), (ii) and (iii) being between 20 and 80 active weight percent; (b) 0 to 8 weight percent of one or more pH adjusting chemicals; and (c) the balance water; wherein said composition does not require the presence of hydrotropes or builders to effectively function as a laundry detergent is provided.
