HIGH-CONTENT AZIDE FORMULATION John F. Flanagan Richard Fraley Abstract of the Disclosure A commercially desirable granular material is produced that has a high content of sodium azide (about 50%), a relatively fine and uniform particle size (on the order of 20 mesh), and good particle strength. Such material is produced economically by pan-granulating sodium azide together with potassium chloride. This brings to the art of applying sodium azide as an agricultural chemical the advantages of a formulation having a high content of active ingredient: lower costs in shipping the material and in applying the material to fields.
