The invention concerns a tungsten-based sintered material, with relative mean density higher than 93 % and HV¿0.3? hardness >= 400. It comprises: tungsten having a purity higher than 99.9 %, an additive consisting of nickel and/or cobalt powder in a mass percentage not more than 0.08 %, an average particle size of tungsten grains of equiaxial shape ranging between 2 and 40 µm and uniformly distributed for a given average size; and uniformly distributed residual porosity with less than 85 % of the population of pores having a unit volume less than 4 µm?3¿.

L'invention concerne un matériau fritté à base de tungstène, de densité moyenne relative supérieure à 93 % et de dureté HV0,3 >= 400. Il comprend: du tungstène ayant une pureté supérieure à 99,9 %; un additif constitué de poudre de nickel et/ou de cobalt selon un pourcentage en masse inférieure ou égal à 0,08 %; une taille moyenne des grains de tungstène de forme équiaxe comprise entre 2 et 40 µm et uniformément répartie pour une taille moyenne donnée; et des porosités résiduelles uniformément réparties avec au moins 85 % de la population de ces porosités ayant un volume unitaire inférieur à 4 µm3.
