A high efficiency disposable cellulosic wiper includes (a) pulp-derived papermaking fiber; (b) up to 75% by weight regenerated cellulosic microfiber having a characteristic CSF value of less than 175 ml, the microfiber being selected and present in amounts such that the wiper exhibits a Laplace pore volume fraction at pore sizes less than 15 microns of at least 1.5 times that of a like wiper prepared without regenerated cellulose microfiber. The wipers of the invention exhibit remarkable residue removal efficiency.

L'invention porte sur un chiffon cellulosique jetable à efficacité élevée comprenant (a) des fibres dérivées de la pâte à papier; (b) jusqu'à 75 % en poids de microfibre cellulosique régénérée ayant une valeur d'indice d'égouttage (CSF) caractéristique inférieure à 175 ml, la microfibre étant sélectionnée et présente en quantités telles que le chiffon présente une fraction de volume de pore de Laplace à des dimensions de pore inférieures à 15 microns d'au moins 1,5 fois celle d'un chiffon analogue préparé sans microfibre de cellulose régénérée.
