The invention relates to a fluorescent material from the class of thiometallates, preferably thiogallates. The thiometallate is composed according to the formula (AS)*w(B2S3), A being at least one divalent cation from the group Mg, Ca, Sr and B being at least one trivalent cation from the group Al, Ga, Y. The factor W can lie in the range 0.8 <= w <= 0.98 or in the range 1.02 <= w <= 1.2.
L'invention concerne une substance fluorescente de la classe des thio-métallates, de préférence, des thio-gallates. Le thio-métallate est préparé selon la formule (AS)*w(B2S3) où A représente au moins un cation bivalent du groupe Mg, Ca, Sr et B représente au moins un cation trivalent du groupe Al, Ga, Y, le facteur w pouvant être compris dans la plage 0,8 <= w <= 0,98 comme dans la plage 1,02 <= w <= 1,2.
