Amplifier circuit (10) for amplifying a high frequency input signal (RF In) which is applied to the input (11) and is supplied from there to a power divider (12). The power divider (12) is linked to the input (11) in such a way that the high frequency input signal (RF In) is divided into two partial signals RF1 and RF2 having equal power. The two partial signals RF1 and RF2 are provided at the two outputs (13) and (14) of the power divider (12). The power divider (12) is followed by a low-resistance parallel circuit made of a first amplifier block (15), which is connected to the output (13) of the power divider (12), and a second amplifier block (16), which is connected to the second output (14) of the power divider (12). The main transistor (21) of the amplifier circuit (10) has an input (22) which is linked to the joint output (20) of the low-resistance parallel circuit (17). The transistor (21) amplifies the signal (RF4) applied to the input of the transistor (21) and provides a high frequency output signal (RF3) at the output (23), which is amplified in relation to the high frequency input signal (RF In). In this case, the entire arrangement is preferably not operated in saturation.
