ABSTRACT A circuit providing a voltage source in the frequency range of between 10 KHz and 200 KHz which is particularly applicable but not limited to use in induction heating apparatus. The circuit includes a dc source connected to supply current through an inductor to a load. Connected in parallel with the load is a capacitor with a switching circuit for reversing the connections of the capacitor relative to the load. By reversing the capacitor connections, power levels supplied to the load from the dc source are controlled directly.
