Disclosed are high impact polystyrenes prepared using mixed initiators. The mixed initiators include at least one grafting initiator and one non-grafting initiator. The high impact polystyrenes prepared therewith have a continuous polystyrene phase and dispersed therein particles of rubber predominantly having a honeycomb structure of rubber with polystyrene inclusions.

L'invention concerne des polystyrènes choc préparés au moyen d'initiateurs mélangés. Parmi ces initiateurs mélangés, on trouve au moins un initiateur favorisant la greffe et un initiateur ne favorisant pas la greffe. Les polystyrènes choc préparés à partir de ceux-ci possèdent une phase polystyrène continue ainsi que des particules de caoutchouc dispersées dont la plupart présentent une structure en nid d'abeilles de caoutchouc comprenant des inclusions de polystyrène.
