A transformer circuit disclosed performs wideband impedance transformation (matching) and can be used for voltage step-up and step-down applications. The circuit disclosed is comprised of two transmission line transformers (T1, T2) and two reactive impedances (Z1, Z2) that compensate the circuit for impedance versus frequency. The circuit disclosed performs a very wideband impedance ratio of 1:9. The circuit may have different turns ratios for T1 and T2 and different values for Z1 and Z2 to accommodate rational, fractional and integer values of transformation up to an impedance ratio of 16:1. The addition of a balun to the output provides a balanced output.

L'invention concerne un circuit de transformateur qui assure la transformation (adaptation) large bande/impédance et peut être utilisé pour des applications d'élévation et d'abaissement de tension. Ce circuit comprend deux transformateurs de ligne de transmission (T1, T2) et deux impédances réactives (Z1, Z2) qui réalisent une compensation impédance/fréquence du circuit. Ce circuit donne un rapport d'impédance à très large bande de 1:9. Il peut présenter différents rapports de transformation pour T1 et T2 et différentes valeurs pour Z1 et Z2 pour adapter des valeurs rationnelles, fractionnelles et entières de transformation jusqu'à un rapport d'impédance de 16:1. L'addition d'un symétriseur d'antenne à la sortie permet d'obtenir une sortie équilibrée.
