A high-intensity light emitting diode light comprising a base member and a circuit board having a substrate and electrical circuitry including at least one light emitting diode and electrical contacts for electrically connecting to a supply of electrical power. The electrical contacts extend to the exterior of the high-intensity light emitting diode light. A cooling tube is mounted on the substrate and has a coolant inlet and a coolant outlet in fluid communication one with the other via a coolant throughpassage. The coolant inlet and the coolant outlet are each in fluid communication with the exterior of the high-intensity light emitting diode light. A substantially transparent cover defines a substantially hollow interior, and is secured to the base member in surrounding relation to the circuit board and cooling tube. The circuit board and the cooling tube are disposed in the substantially hollow interior of the substantially transparent cover.
