Disclosed is an improved coating composition for food containers that is resistant to high pH processing environments. The improved coating composition is based upon an epoxy-amino resin coating composition that has been modified with other components to improve its performance in high pH environments balanced with flexibility, formability and abrasion resistance. Typically, the coating composition includes an epoxy resin, an amino resin cross-linking agent, a blocked polyisocyanate and a saturated polyester.

L'invention porte sur une composition de revêtement améliorée pour des contenants alimentaires, laquelle est résistante à des environnements de traitement à pH élevé. La composition de revêtement améliorée est à base d'une composition de revêtement de résine époxy-amino qui a été modifiée par d'autres composants pour améliorer sa performance dans des environnements à pH élevé en équilibre avec la flexibilité, l'aptitude au formage et la résistance à l'abrasion. De façon typique, la composition de revêtement comprend une résine époxy, un agent réticulant à base de résine amino, un polyisocyanate bloqué et un polyester saturé.
