A light emitting apparatus has a light source for emitting short wavelength light. A down conversion material receives and down converts at least some of the short wavelength light emitted by the light source and back scatters a portion of the received and down converted light. An optic device adjacent the down conversion material at least partially surrounds the light source. The optic device is configured to extract at least some of the back scattered light. A sealant substantially seals a space between the light source and the optic device.
L'invention concerne un appareil émetteur de lumière doté d'une source lumineuse destinée à émettre une lumière à courte longueur d'ondes. Un matériau convertisseur-abaisseur reçoit et convertit avec abaissement au moins une partie de la lumière à courte longueur d'ondes émise par la source lumineuse et rétrodiffuse une partie de la lumière reçue et convertie avec abaissement. Un dispositif optique adjacent au matériau convertisseur-abaisseur entoure au moins partiellement la source lumineuse. Le dispositif optique est configuré de façon à extraire au moins une partie de la lumière rétrodiffusée. Un mastic scelle sensiblement un espace entre la source lumineuse et le dispositif optique.
