The high pressure feed pump (14) has a plunger cylinder (26) and a cylindrical plunger piston (28) moved back and forth therein. The plunger cylinder (26) and the plunger piston (28) delimit a feed space (24) which, in the case of a filling stroke (F) of the plunger piston (28), can be connected via a filling valve (24) to a supply space for a feed medium. Furthermore, in the case of a feed stroke (F') of the plunger piston (28), the feed space (24) can be connected via a delivery valve (42) to a high pressure space. The plunger cylinder (26) is of essentially rotationally symmetric design and is surrounded with a press fit by a pressure body (44). The external prestress exerted by the pressure body (44) on the plunger cylinder (26) relieves the latter of high stresses when the pump is to generate extremely high pressures.

Cette invention concerne une pompe d'alimentation haute pression (14) formée d'un cylindre (26) et d'un piston cylindrique (28) animé d'un mouvement de va-et-vient. Ledit cylindre (26) et ledit piston cylindrique (28) définissent un volume d'aspiration (24) qui s'ouvre, par l'intermédiaire d'une soupape d'admission, sur une source d'alimentation lors de la course d'admission (f) du piston (28). Le cylindre (26) est de rayon essentiellement constant et est entouré d'une frette (44) montée à force. La précontrainte exercée par la frette (44) a pour effet d'absorber les contraintes élevées qui se développent lorsque la pompe produit une pression extrêmement élevée.
