There is presented a gas compressor including a housing (2) defining adjacent first and second chambers (4, 6) in axial alignment, a rod (8) extending through the first chamber and into the second chamber, a tubular projection (10) extending from a first end of the housing into the second chamber, a cylindrically-shaped end portion (14) fixed to the rod and disposed slidably upon the projection and within the second chamber, a piston (16) fixed to the rod and slidably disposed within the first chamber, and conduits for admitting gas to the first chamber, transferring gas from one compression stage to another, and discharging compressed gas from the housing.
Cette invention concerne un compresseur de gaz comportant un carter (2) définissant une première et une seconde chambre (4, 6) en alignement axial, une bielle (8) traversant la première chambre et pénétrant dans la seconde chambre, une partie saillante tubulaire (10) s'étendant depuis la première extrémité du carter jusqu'à l'intérieur de la seconde chambre, une partie d'extrémité en forme de cylindre (14) fixée à la bielle et placée de façon coulissante au-dessus de la partie saillante et à l'intérieur de la seconde chambre, un piston (16) fixé à la bielle et placé de façon coulissante à l'intérieur de la première chambre, ainsi que des conduits assurant l'admission du gaz à l'intérieur de la première chambre, le transfert du gaz de la première phase de compression à l'autre et l'évacuation du gaz comprimé hors du carter.
