ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a safety facility for a high- pressure high-temperature gasifier with which checks are made regularly and at frequent intervals of time and which indicates any damage to a group of cooling tubes soon enough for the gasi- fier to be stopped safely and for corresponding action to be taken. A group of preferably vertical cooling tubes extends around a combustion chamber disposed in a metal casing of a high- pressure high-temperature fuel gasifier. Insulated electric wires are distributed around a periphery near an outside wall of the group or basket or the like formed by the cooling tubes. Wire ends extend out of the gasifier casing and the wires are adapted to cooperate in the closure of a power circuit serving as a measuring circuit arrangement.
