ABSTRACT A liquid-cooled high-pressure metal vapor discharge lamp, to be used in particular in a method of manufacturing a colour television display tube in which cooling jacket is secured around the discharge tube and on which a thin metal mirror is provided on the inside. Said mirror com- prises apertures through which light rays of a given in- tensity emanate. The light distribution of the light source is dependent on the shape and position of the apertures and on particular position of the light source.
