La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de filtrage haut débit dans lequel chaque échantillon de sortie est obtenu en pondérant N échantillons d'entrée à l'aide de N coefficients ki; chaque coefficient ki étant décomposé en un jeu de coordonnées ki = (ai, bi, ci, di,..), dans lequel chacune des coordonnées correspond à plusieurs bits de ce coefficient ki; un prétraitement commun à tous les coefficients étant effectué sur chaque échantillon d'entrée; une pondération-accumulation étant effectuée sur les signaux sortant du prétraitement pour chaque coefficient. L'invention concerne, également, un dispositif de mise en oeuvre de ce procédé. La présente invention peut être appliquée notamment au domaine spatial.
