US-2063 ABSTRACT A process utilizing a disc-nozzle centrifuge introduces very large volumes of washing liquid directly into the centrifuge to achieve displacement washing and classification action. The disc-nozzle centrifuge has a return conduit for recycle of underflow and is provided with a venturi type structure for simultaneous injection of return flow and washing liquid into the centrifuge. The decreased pressure at the venturi structure increases flow in the return conduit.
