Coated rollers (10) with a hard, high release, non-marking, coating with excellent non-stick properties are disclosed for use as idler rollers, or as laminating, coating or printing rollers. The release coating comprises an outermost coat (15) which includes a silicone-epoxy emulsion in a water-based curing system that is sprayed or brushed on a roller core and then allowed to cure at room temperature. The release coating further comprises a primer coat (16) of silicone-epoxy in a water base that is also sprayed or brushed on the roller to form a coat and then allowed to cure at room temperature. Methods for making such rollers are also disclosed.

L'invention concerne des rouleaux revêtus (10) comprenant un revêtement dur, non collant et non marquant présentant d'excellentes propriétés antiadhésives et destinés à être utilisés comme rouleaux intermédiaires, ou comme rouleaux de stratification, de couchage ou d'impression. Le revêtement antiadhésif comprend une couche extérieure (115) comportant une émulsion de silicone-époxy dans un système de durcissement à base aqueuse pulvérisé ou brossé sur une âme de rouleau et ensuite laissé durcir à température ambiante. Le revêtement antiadhésif comprend également une couche d'apprêt (16) en silicone-époxy dans une base aqueuse, laquelle est également pulvérisée ou brossée sur le rouleau pour former une couche et ensuite laissée à durcir à température ambiante.
