A digital video camera capable of producing video at higher frame rates than that allowed by currently available digital cameras. The digital camera comprises a single imager that produces both high- and low-resolution frames simultaneously at the maximum rate allowed by sensor physics at low-resolution. Image processing electronics process the output of the imager to evaluate motion of pixels from one low-resolution frame to the next, reduce the motion blur level in the high-resolution frames and move the pixels of the deblurred high- resolution frames according to the motion observed in the low-resolution frames.
