RD-19,573 HIGH SENSITIVITY, HIGH RESOLUTION, SOLID STATE X-RAY IMAGING DEVICE Abstract of the Disclosure A two-dimensional x-ray imager comprises a photosensitive imaging array having a structured scintillator disposed thereon which has individual scintillator elements which are aligned with the individual photosensitive cells of the photosensitive imaging array. This structure may be produced by growing the scintillator material on a topographically configured surface of the photosensitive imaging array.
