A high speed embossing and adhesive printing process using a first and second embossing rolls having complementary embossing pattern disposed thereon. A web of sheet material is placed in contact with an adhesive applied to the first embossing roll. The adhesive forms an adhesive pattern on the web of sheet material in register with the first embossing pattern of the first embossing roll. The web of sheet material is then passed between the first and second embossing rolls which emboss the web with the complementary embossing pattern.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de gaufrage et d'impression d'adhésif à grande vitesse dans lequel il est fait appel à un premier et à un second cylindre de gaufrage sur lesquels sont disposés des motifs de gaufrage complémentaires. On met une bande de matériau en feuille en contact avec un adhésif appliqué sur le premier cylindre de gaufrage. L'adhésif forme sur la bande de matériau en feuille un motif adhésif en registre avec le premier motif de gaufrage du premier cylindre de gaufrage. On fait ensuite passer la bande de matériau en feuille entre le premier et le second cylindre de gaufrage qui gaufrent la bande selon le motif de gaufrage complémentaire.
