ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A high speed permanent magnet coupling is disclosed com- prising a generally cup-shaped outer coupling member rotatably driven by a suitable driving source and concentrically received over an inner coupling member, the two coupling members being separated by a hermetically sealing wall or barrier. The outer and inner coupling members each include a plurality of axially elongated permanent magnets surrounded by the respective coupling members to hold the magnets in centrifugal compression during rotation.
