The latter is bounded at the front and sides by skegs (5) which widen towards the apex (9) formed by the intersection of the spoiling edges (6) of the side skegs (5) and situated in the fore section of the hull (1). The maximum width of the bottom (3) along the bilge (2) at the fore end (10) is at the apex (9) of the recess (4) and is less than the width of the bottom (3) along the bilge (2) amidships.
