Films prepared from aqueous dispersion of block copolymers, optional diluents and surfactants corresponding to the formula A-B- Xm-(B-A)n wherein each A is a polymer block of a monovinylidene aromatic monomer and, optionally, a conjugated diene, each B is a polymer block of a conjugated diene, X is the remnant of a multifunctional coupling agent, m is 0 or 1, and n is an integer from 1 to 5, each monovinylidene aromatic monomer block having a weight average molecular weight from 8,000 to 15,000 Daltons, each conjugated diene block having a weight average molecular weight from 50,000 to 200,000 Daltons, the total A content being from 5 to 25 percent by weight of the block copolymer and diluent, and the effective phase volume of the monovinylidene aromatic monomer block being from 10 to 18.5 percent, having improved tensile strength properties and utility as thin elastomeric articles and a process for their preparation are disclosed.
