A woven papermakers fabric having a first system of yarns interwoven with a second system of yarns. The second system of yarns having a repeat which defines three successive knuckles on the paper carrying side of the fabric while maintaining vertical alignment of the first system yarns in the respective first and second layers of the first system by defining a single knuckle on the machine side of the fabric in each repeat. Preferably, the first system yarns are cross machine direction (CMD) yarns which repeat with respect to eight pairs of stacked machine direction (MD) yarns.

Feutre tissé constitué d'un premier réseau de fils entretissé avec un second réseau de fils. Le second réseau de fils comporte un rapport d'armure formant trois menues pailles successives sur le côté du feutre où le papier est transporté, tout en maintenant un alignement vertical des fils du premier réseau dans sa première et seconde couches respectives en formant une menue paille simple sur le feutre du côté de la machine dans chaque rapport d'armure. De préférence, les fils du premier réseau sont en sens travers et rapportés en ce qui touche huit paires de fils alignées en sens machine.
