ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The present invention permits the production of a filter fabric of enhanced high temperature filtration properties, which filter comprises a surface or batt layer comprising of glass fibres which is joined, by needling, to an underlayer comprising mineral fibres, to which end the batt layer comprises glass fibres 2-8 microns in diameter and the fabric is resin impregnated.
