A B S T R A C T For the purpose of shielding thyristor power-units in high-tension valve stacks, there is provided an extruded section of U-shaped cross-section having a convex part which is flattened. The section has a height x which corresponds to the height necessary to provide the power-part shielding. The legs of the U are curved inwardly, thus constituting support-surfaces which are parallel with the flattened convex part of the U. Cast caps are pushed laterally onto extruded section, the caps having tongues which rest upon the support-surfaces and are riveted thereto.
