This invention relates to the use of olefin mixtures containing 1-hexene/l- decene/1-dodecene and, additionally, 1-octene or 1-decene to produce high viscosity polyalphaolefins (PAOs) having a viscosity of from about 40 cSt to about 100 cSt at 1000C (ASTM D-445) and a number average molecular weight of between about 1200 to about 4000, articularl useful as lubricant base stocks.
Cette invention concerne l'utilisation de mélanges d'oléfines contenant du 1-hexène/1-décène/1-dodécène et également du 1-octène ou du 1-décène pour produire des polyalphaoléfines (PAO) de viscosité élevée, présentant une viscosité comprise entre environ 40 cSt et environ 100 cSt à 100 °C (ASTM D-445) et une masse moléculaire moyenne en nombre comprise entre environ 1 200 et environ 4 000, notamment utiles en tant que charges de base lubrifiantes.
