Cross blends of synthetic ester base stocks are produced from high viscosity synthetic ester base stocks having a viscosity from about iso 120 to 140 and conventional synthetic ester base stocks of varying viscosities to form base stocks having viscosities from about iso 68 to iso 220. Lubricants formed from the cross blends have sufficient miscibility with HFC refrigeration fluids with minimal use of i-C9 carboxylic acids to form the ester.

Cette invention concerne des mélanges d'huiles de base d'ester synthétique obtenues à partir d'huiles de base d'ester synthétiques à haute viscosité présentant une viscosité comprise entre ISO 120 et 140 et des huiles de bases d'ester synthétique classiques de viscosités variables, avec pour résultat des huiles de base d'une viscosité ISO comprise entre 68 et 220. Les lubrifiants ainsi obtenus ont une miscibilité suffisante avec les fluides de réfrigération HFC avec un emploi minime d'acides carboxyliques i-C9 pour la formation de l'ester.
