HIGH VOLTAGE CABLE SPLICE Abstract A high voltage cable splice including an insulating housing having an outer conductive shield and an inner conductive sleeve, and a connector assembly positioned within the shielded cavity indluding a connector connected to the cable conductor ends and a pair of electrically and thermally conductive members in the form of partial cylinders mounted on the connector to provide electrical and thermal communication between the connector and the shielded cavity, the member having sufficient mass to provide a heat sink on short term overloads.
