Abstract of the Disclosure A high-voltage direct-current transmitting unit consisting of at least one rectifier station, provided with a regulating device for direct transmission current ant at least two direct-voltage inverter stations connected in parallel and equipped with a quenching-angle regulating or control device and a minimum-control device for the direct transmission current. In the event of an interruption in the transmission of information between the stations, a voltage-regulating device arranged in the rectifier station lowers the direct voltage of the rectifier, for a short time, to such an extent that the minimum-current regulating device comes into action in the direct-voltage inverter stations. The number of switched-on groups of parallel direct-voltage inverter stations is then determined from the direct transmis- sion current then flowing.
