ABSTRACT A high voltage switch for use in electrophoresis equipment is described. A solid state switch element is triggered by a continuous DC voltage derived from an isolated and rectified AC trigger signal. The gate of solid state element is connected by a low impedance path to ground when the AC signal ceases.
