HIGH VOLTAGE HIGHER SEISMIC STABILITY TRANSFORMER SUBSTATION Abstract of the Disclosure A high Voltage transformer substation designed for regions of higher or normal seismic activity contains switchgears electrical apparatus (6, 7) and insulators (8, 9, 10, 11) fixed on supports (12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17) connected by a flexible buswork (18, 19, 20) with power transformers (4) installed on the ground (21) by means of foundations (22) unburied in it and a layer (24) of loose material. Increase of seismic stability with simultaneous simplification of structures is achieved through the body (25) of each power transfor- mer (4) and its unburied foundation (22) being immedi- ately and rigidly connected together to provide for mutual braked displacements occurring during intensive underground shocks on the layer (24) of loose material and to keep stable equilibrium. The flexible buswork (18, 19, 20) containing on one side anchorages rigidly connected with the foundation (22) of the transformer (4) and on the other side - anchorages (29, 30, 31) connected with the foundations (32, 33, 34) of the electrical apparatus of the switchgears (1, 2, 3) is mounted between these anchorages (26, 27, 28 and 29, 30, 31): with correspondingly loosened tensions. Such substations can be used in electrical networks of different high voltage ranges, with different necessa- ry diagrams, and equipment. Fig. 2.
