ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to improvements in a high- voltage network, and has for its object to provide a system whereby increased intensity of power can be provided over different phases of the network for deicing the different phases. The network includes a supply substation, a dis- tribution substation, equipped with a common busbar, and an overhead transmission line connecting the supply substation and the distribution substation. An additional overhead transmission line leads from the distribution substation to, for example, a receiving station. A rectifier is provided for providing direct current for the deicing of conductors on the overhead transmission lines, the rectifier being located at the supply substation. Direct current for the deicing is, thus, provided from the supply substation through the overhead transmission line to the distribution station and thence through the additional overhead transmission line to the receiving station. A switching system is provided where- by the d.c. power on two or more lines of the overhead trans- mission line can be provided to any one of the conductors on the further overhead transmission line.
