A particulate unsupported superacid catalyst for use in fluid catalytic cracking is provided comprising doped silica which has been doped with from about 1 to about 99 wt%, based on the weight of the catalyst composition, of at least one inorganic oxide dopant selected from the group consisting of rare earth metal oxides, alkaline earth metal oxides, zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, manganese oxide, yttrium oxide, niobium oxide, zirconium oxide and titanium oxide, and wherein the doped silica has been anion-modified by an anion selected from the group consisting of phosphate, tungstate, and sulphate.

L'invention concerne un catalyseur superacide particulaire non supporté pour une utilisation dans un craquage catalytique fluide, comprenant une silice dopée qui a été dopée avec environ 1 à environ 99 % en poids, sur la base du poids de la composition de catalyseur, d'au moins un dopant d'oxyde inorganique choisi dans le groupe constitué par les oxydes de métaux de terres rares, les oxydes de métaux alcalino-terreux, l'oxyde de zinc, l'oxyde de magnésium, l'oxyde de manganèse, l'oxyde d'yttrium, l'oxyde de niobium, l'oxyde de zirconium et l'oxyde de titane, et dans lequel la silice dopée est modifiée anioniquement par un anion choisi dans le groupe constitué par un phosphate, un tungstate et un sulfate.
