Abstract of the Disclosure A highly durable pneumatic tire comprising a bias laid carcass body composed of laminated plies each including organic fiber cords coated with rubber. The carcass body comprises at least two kinds of ply groups including cords which are the same in diameter, the number of twisting turns per unit length of the cord of one of the ply groups being different from that of the cord of the other ply group. The number of twisting turns of the cord of the outermost ply group of the carcass body is 5 to 30% times larger than that of the cord of the inner ply group adjacent to the outermost ply group of the carcass body.
