Abstract A polyester composition is resistant to heat and comprises 95 to 99.999 wt.% of a melt-processable polyester being capable of forming the anisotropic phase when it is heated and stressed and 0.001 to 5 wt.% of a phosphorous ester having the formula (1): (1) Image in which R1, R2 and R3 are, independently of one another, an alkyl, an alkyl having a substituent, an aryl or an aryl having a substituent.
