HIGHLY OXYGEN PERMEABLE CONTACT LENS MATERIALS AND COMPOSITIONS THEREOF ABSTRACT Highly oxygen permeable hard and semi-hard contact lenses are made from the copolymer of an ethylenically unsaturated siloxanylalkoxy ester monomer, ethylenically unsaturated fluorocarbon ester monomer and/or ethylenically unsaturated sulfone monomer; the copolymer plastic can be modified by the incorporation of hardening, stability and/or wettability agents. Also disclosed herein are methods for manufacture of such contact lenses.
