The present invention discloses highly packed polycationic ammonium, sulfonium and phosphonium lipid compounds useful for making lipid aggregates for delivery of macromolecules and other compounds into cells. They are especially useful for the DNA-dependent transformation of cells. Methods for their preparation and use as intracellular delivery agents are also disclosed.

L'invention concerne des composés lipides d'ammonium, de sulfonium et de phosphonium polycationiques très concentrés s'utilisant pour préparer des agrégats de lipides afin de diffuser des macromolécules et d'autres composés dans des cellules. Ces composés lipides s'utilisent notamment dans la transformation de cellules ADN-dépendante. L'invention concerne également des procédés permettant de les préparer et de les utiliser comme agents de diffusion intracellulaire.
