The invention relates to a hinge assembly (1) for connecting two vehicle parts (2, 3) to a vehicle that is capable of crab steering, has articulated frame steering and comprises articulating vehicle axles. It comprises four structural elements (4, 5, 6, 7) which are connected to each other by four hinge connections (8, 9, 10, 11), the hinge centers of which are arranged in a common plane in a basic state, in such a manner that they form a frame which is substantially rigid with respect to thrust forces in that plane. Two of the structural elements (4, 6) forming opposite sides of the frame which is substantially rigid with respect to thrust forces can in each case be rotated about a rotational axis (D1, D2) located in said plane with respect to the respective other three structural elements. Furthermore, the hinge connections (8, 9, 10, 11) are designed in such a manner that, starting from the basic state, the two rotational axis (D1, D2) can be articulated relative to each other in that one of the rotational axis (D2) can be pivoted out of the plane. With the hinge assembly (1) according to the invention it becomes possible to connect, without additional moveable assemblies such as swivel joints and transversely displaceable connecting elements, two vehicle parts (2, 3) comprising vehicle axles to a vehicle that is capable of crab steering, has articulated frame steering and comprises articulating vehicle axles.

L'invention concerne un système d'articulation (1) permettant de relier deux parties de véhicule (2, 3) en un véhicule à direction pivotante par châssis articulé, apte à la marche en crabe, équipé d'essieux pouvant être croisés. Il comporte quatre éléments structurels (4, 5, 6, 7) qui sont reliés ensemble par quatre assemblages articulés (8, 9, 10, 11), dont les centres d'articulation sont disposés dans un état de base dans un plan commun, de manière à former un cadre résistant au cisaillement dans ce plan. Deux des éléments structurels (4, 6) qui forment des côtés opposés du cadre résistant au cisaillement peuvent tourner chacun autour d'un axe de rotation (D1, D2) situé dans ce plan par rapport aux trois autres éléments structurels. De plus, les assemblages articulés (8, 9, 10, 11) sont conçus de telle manière que les deux axes de rotation (D1, D2) puissent être croisés en partant de l'état de base, en ce sens qu'un des axes de rotation (D2) peut être sorti du plan. Avec le système d'articulation selon l'invention, il est possible, sans d'autres dispositifs mobiles tels que des articulations à charnière et des éléments de raccordement pouvant coulisser transversalement, de relier deux parties de véhicule (2, 3) avec essieux en un véhicule à direction pivotante au centre, apte à la marche en crabe, équipé d'essieux pouvant être croisés.
