Abstract In the hinge two hinge leaves (1;2) are connected with one another at their abutting edges by way of a hinge joint (5,6). Each hinge leaf (1;2) is provided with claws (12;22), for fastening the one leaf to to a picture cover (3) on the rear face, and the other to a set-up base (4). On one of the hinge leaves (1) a connecting web (8) is articulated to the edge (13) opposite the hinge joint (5,6). If the hinge is open, the connecting web (8) is arranged at an angle to the one hinge leaf (1) and is supported by the other hinge leaf (2); if the hinge is closed, it is pivoted into a position essentially parallel to the one hinge leaf (1). - 17 - PCT/DE91/00014
