ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a novel hinge for eye glass frames, the hinge comprising a plate for securement to either the eye glass supporting rim or to one of the temple members and a reversely bent spring of resilient material having one leg shorter than another hingedly secured to the plate. The hinge also comprises a closed channel member secured to the other of the temple member and the rim, the channel member having an open end dimensioned to receive and lock said spring member.
