ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An aircraft door adapted to pivot about a pair of vertical hinges is detachably fixed to the door frame by a secondary joint at each hinge. Retraction of a short hori- zontal pin at each secondary joint releases the door for jettison.
