There is provided a pack (10) for smoking articles, which pack (10) has an outer carton (15) having generally rectangular front, back, side, top and bottom panels and an inner frame (12). The outer carton (15) has an upper portion (16) and a lower portion (17) which are hingedly connected together about a hinge line which extends across the rear panel of the outer carton substantially parallel to the top and bottom edges of the rear panel. The lower edge (20) of the front panel area of the upper portion (16) has at least a portion which is not parallel to said hinge line.

La présente invention concerne un paquet (10) pour articles à fumer. Ce paquet (10) comporte d'une part une boîte extérieure en carton (15) qui possède généralement des panneaux rectangulaires sur l'avant, l'arrière, les côtés, le dessus et le dessous et d'autre part un emballage intérieur (12). La boîte extérieure en carton (15) possède une partie supérieure (16) et une partie inférieure (17) articulées le long d'une ligne qui traverse le panneau arrière de la boîte extérieure en carton, cette ligne étant sensiblement parallèle aux arêtes supérieure et inférieure du panneau arrière. L'arête inférieure (20) du panneau frontal de la partie supérieure (16) de la boîte possède au moins une partie non parallèle à la dite ligne d'articulation.
