A B S T R A C T 'Improvements relating to hinged-lid packets' A hinged-lid packet formed from a one piece blank and having a body formed from a base panel 1, front panel 2, rear panel 3 and side walls consisting of outer side wall panels 4, 5 attached to the front panel 2 and inner side wall panels 6, 7 attached to the rear panels. The lid of the packet has a rear panel 10, top panel 11 and à front panel 12. Inner side wall panels 13, 14 are attached to the rear panel 10 and outer side wall panels 17, 18 are attached to the front panel 12. The inner and outer side wall panels of both the body and lid extend for substantially less than the front to rear dimension of the packet but overlap and are adhered tog- ether. The overlapping portions 6', 7', 13', 14' of the inner side wall panels are offset inwardly to provide a smooth exterior surface for the side walls of the jacket.
