1) Chimeric gene for conferring on plants increased tolerance to a herbicide. 2) It comprises, in the direction of transcription, a promoter region, a transit peptide region, a sequence encoding the tolerance to glyphosate and a polyadenylation signal region, characterised in that the promoter region consists of at least one histone plant gene promoter which allows the expression of the protein for tolerance to herbicides in the glyphosate accumulation regions. 3) Production of glyphosate-tolerant plants.
1) Gène chimère pour conférer aux plantes une tolérance accrue vis â vis d'un herbicide. 2) Il comprend, dans le sens de la transcription, une zone promotrice, une zone peptide de transit, une séquence codant pour la tolérance au glyphosate et une zone signal de polyadénylation, caractérisé en ce que la zone promotrice est constituée d'au moins un promoteur d'un gène végétal d'histone permettant l'expression de la protéine de tolérance herbicide dans les zones d'accumulation du glyphosate. 3)production de plantes tolérantes au glyphosate.
