Relative to the intention of a motorist to back up a vehicle to a towable trailer, this invention provides the means for the driver to reverse the vehicle toward the trailer hitch and to stop the vehicle when the towing ball reaches a point directly below the cup of the towing hitch, allowing the trailer hitch to be lowered onto the ball.
