Potentiators for the expression of HM1.24 antigen in myeloma cells which contain as the active ingredient interferon .alpha., interferon .gamma. or IRF- 2 protein. It is estimated that interferons .alpha. and .gamma. potentiate the expression of HM1.24 antigen through the activation of the promoter of a gene encoding HM1.24 antigen.
