- 9 - A hockey glove includes a glove body and a cushion pad. The glove body has a palm portion. The cushion pad is attached to the palm portion of the glove body. The cushion pad has a flexible sheet which is sewn to the palm portion and a piece of damping gel which is enclosed by the flexible sheet and the palm portion. The glove body has a thumb portion and an area between a index finger portion and the thumb portion. The cushion pad has a thumb pad and an extension pad which are sewn respectively to the thumb portion and the area of the glove body. Therefore, the shock waves produced from a hockey stick can be absorbed by the cushion pad when the user grasps the hockey stick.
